About Our Puppies
At Whispering Pines Farm Miniature Dachshunds in Corryton, Tennessee, we assure you all of our puppies are guaranteed healthy and well socialized. They are all born in our home and will go to their new families with age-appropriate vaccines and worming at 8 weeks.
All puppies are seen by our veterinarian, Dr. Brady, with Blaine Veterinarian Clinic.
A puppy pack, which contains their registration paperwork, a blanket, a toy, a food sample, a supplement sample, and other goodies, is also included.
All of our puppies are purebred, and all litters are AKC- and/or CKC-registered.
I reserve the right to keep any puppy from any litters.
If you do not see the puppy you want on this page, or you like one that is already adopted, chances are we will have what you are looking for in a future litter.
How Does Our Adoption Process Work?
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!
One
The first step to adopting one of our puppies is to view our Available Puppies Page. If you see a puppy you want, contact us to make sure it is available. I will then provide you with the link to our Puppy Application to fill out.
We want to insure our puppies go to loving safe forever family homes.
Once the puppy application is received, reviewed, and approved, a $200 non refundable deposit must be placed to reserve a puppy until it is ready to go home.
I am available to speak to you by phone, email or text before a deposit is placed.

The deposit amount does apply toward your final purchase price of a puppy.
Deposit Holders have priority over the general public in selecting an available puppy for two weeks. The deposit holders list is permanently closed and I am not adding families to it.
Two
Three
Once a puppy is selected and reserved, families are able to watch their puppy on our puppy cam during our business hours until their puppy is 8 weeks old.
Puppies go to new families at 8 weeks. Puppy pickups are usually scheduled on Saturdays closest to the 8 week date between the hours of 9AM and 3 PM EST here at our farm located in Corryton, TN
The balance due of the puppy purchase price (less deposit amount) must be made in cash at pickup. No exceptions!

About our mommas...
The gestational time for puppies is two months. Expectant mommas close to due dates sleep with us in our bed so that we can be alerted if they go into labor at night.
Otherwise, they are upstairs with us so that we can keep an eye on them. Once labor begins, I stay with them through the whole process, helping them through labor.
Once the puppies are born, they and their mommas are in our nursery kennels for 2 weeks.

At 3 weeks they go into playpens in our nursery with Momma.
At 5 weeks they are then moved into the living room to start socializing with a few of my adults. This also helps them get accustomed to a busy household. The puppies are either in playpens or on the floor in exercise pens. Their mommas can come and go as they please to nurse them or just to check on them.
They get their first puppy shot at 7 weeks and go for a well puppy visit with my vet.
The puppies are ready to go to new homes at 8 weeks.
